What We Do
The Lake Anna Elite Anglers hold 2-3 community service/conservation projects each year.
Several of our programs have included a clean up day at Lake Anna State Park where our anglers spent several hours cleaning up trash along trails and around the lake.
A fishing tournament for Veterans and First Responders where our team partnered with Unit to Back Outdoors to provide a day on the water for Bass fishing and a hot lunch.
We hold an annual Day of Fishing for Children with Special Needs in which Lake Anna State Park and the Louisa County Parks and Recreation have partnered with us to provide assistance ensuring all participants not only learn knot tying skills and water safety but have a great day just for them. At the end of the program Lake Anna Elite Anglers provides each participant with a new rod and reel combo to take home along with many other gifts which have been donated for this day.
The team has also participated in several of our local parades by pulling some of the decorated Boat Captains boats and throwing candy to the children of our community. In 2022 our team brought home the first place trophy in the commercial division at the Louisa Christmas Parade.
