Community Project to get First Responders/Veterans on the water

Today we held our first of two Community Service Projects for this season. Per BASS Nation of Virginia Youth we are required to perform one Community Service or Conservation Project each year. For our first we partnered with Unit To Back Outdoors and Comanche Outdoors to help get First Responders /Veterans out on the water for a little fun tournament. With help from our boat captains as well as a few non-team volunteers we were able to get 15 active and retired Fire Fighters, EMT's, Police Officers and Veterans from our county and surrounding areas out for some fun. When the fishing was over the youth anglers and parents helped serve an amazing lunch of BBQ and all the fixings. We'd like to say a HUGE Thank You to everyone involved today for helping make this possible and look forward to doing this again in the future.
